Public Invited to State of the City Address, Hamilton to Address Challenges and Opportunities

Bloomington, Ind. - Mayor John Hamilton announced that his first State of the City Address will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 114 E. Kirkwood Ave. The address is set to begin at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Hamilton will highlight the city's priorities, concerns and opportunities regarding the current financial, equipment and personnel conditions within the city. Hamilton will also provide an update on his first 47 days in office and the progress made to deliver on his campaign promises.

"I'm looking forward to this opportunity to update the residents of Bloomington about the current operations of our city. It's an exciting time, but a challenging time in some ways, too. This is a great chance to communicate with everyone about how things are going and what we are working on to make Bloomington a better place for all to live," stated Hamilton.

A public reception in the lobby of the theater will immediately follow Mayor Hamilton's remarks.
