City's Council for Community Accessibility Calls for Nominations for Annual Awards

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington's Council for Community Accessibility (CCA) is accepting nominations for its annual awards ceremony, "Celebrating Disabilities through Story Sharing." The ceremony, to be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 100 North State Road 46 Bypass and will recognize individuals, businesses or organizations that make the community more accessible for people with disabilities.

The CCA advocates on behalf of people with disabilities, promoting awareness and working to develop solutions to problems of accessibility in the community.

The council asks interested parties to send one paragraph about why the individual, business, or organization you are nominating is outstanding, along with your name, e-mail address, and phone number. Nominations may be submitted to Michael Shermis, Special Projects Coordinator, by email: cca@bloomington.in.gov. The deadline for submitting nominations is October 21, 2016.
