City of Bloomington Announces Holiday Parking and Sanitation Collection Information

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington has announced that on-street parking will be free this coming holiday weekend. Metered parking will be free beginning Thanksgiving Day and continuing throughout the weekend. Non-reserved spaces in the City's three parking garages will also be free beginning Thursday and throughout the weekend.

The Sanitation Department will not collect waste on Thursday, November 25th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal collection will resume on Friday, November 26, including for those normally scheduled for a Thursday pickup. Appliances collection will also take place on Friday, November 26. Trash receptacles, bags and large items must be at the curb by 5:00 a.m.
