City of Bloomington Animal Shelter Holiday Promotions and Special Hours

Bloomington, Ind. - The Bloomington Animal Shelter and B97 Radio have once again partnered on "The 12 Strays of Christmas" promotion. Each day until December 23, 2016, a new dog and cat will be featured on the radio. Adoptions fees for the featured animals have been sponsored. Featured animals will also be promoted on the radio station's facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/b97radio and on the Shelter's facebook page at www.facebook.com/COBAnimalShelter.

The Shelter will be holding an end of the year special "New Year and New Beginnings" beginning Monday, December 19, 2016 and ending Saturday, December 31, 2016. Adoption fees will be reduced to $40 for dogs and cats under 5 years, $20 for dogs and cats over 5 years and all rabbit adoption fees are reduced to $10.

Regular adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under age five and $55 for dogs and cats five years and older. Included in the fee are spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and testing for heartworm or feline leukemia/FIV. Regular rabbit adoption fees are $45. Included in the fee is spaying or neutering.

Special Holiday Hours:

The Shelter will be closed on December 24th-December 26th and will close early at 5pm on Tuesday, December 27th and Friday December 30th.

In observation of the New Year the Shelter will also be closed on January 1st and January 2nd.

Adoptable animals can be visited at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S. Walnut, on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m.Adoptable animals also can be seen on the Shelter website at www.bloomington.in.gov/animalshelter.
