City of Bloomington, IU Student Affairs, Council of Neighborhoods to Host Open House/Meet & Greet

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington along with the Council of Neighborhood Associations and IU's Division of Student Affairs are hosting an Open House/Meet & Greet on Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Atrium of City Hall, 401 N. Morton St. Light refreshments will be provided. The public is encouraged to attend.

"We've seen that the best ideas to improve our neighborhoods come from the folks who live in them. This event is a terrific opportunity to learn more about the many avenues available to turn great ideas into action. If you have an idea or concern, this is an excellent place to meet the people and find the resources to make it a reality or discover ways to address it," said Mayor John Hamilton.

The Open House/Meet & Greet makes it easy for Bloomington residents to visit and explore resources, services and programs available to neighborhoods. Dr. Lori Reesor, the newly appointed IU Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, will be available along with representatives from the Office of Student Affairs, the IU Police Department, representatives of the Council of Neighborhood Associations and City of Bloomington Planning Department, Bloomington Police Department and Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND).

"I look forward to meeting with members of the Bloomington community. My staff and I are committed to partnering with our neighbors to create positive experiences with IU students and ensure all feel welcomed and supported" said Vice Provost Lori Reesor.
