City of Bloomington to Host Open Data Day Work Session March 8

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington Information and Technology Services Department will celebrate International Open Data Day on Thursday, March 8 by co-hosting an Open Data Day work session with the BMGHack civic coding brigade. The event will take place in the Kelly Conference Room at City Hall (401 N. Morton St.) beginning at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

 

At the event, City staff will review open data resources and projects, and participate in discussions and brainstorming around city data. The open data portal containing datasets related to City operations can be found at data.bloomington.in.gov.

 

BMGHack is a member of the Code for America Brigade network (brigade.codeforamerica.org/) and is a project of the local non-profit Humanetrix Foundation, along with the Combine, Ignite Bloomington, Sigma Play and more.
