City of Bloomington Sanitation Services for Tuesday, February 16 Postponed

Bloomington, Ind. - Due to the anticipated cold temperatures and snow accumulation, the City of Bloomington Sanitation Division has announced that collection on Tuesday, February 16 will be postponed.

At this time, Tuesday’s routes are scheduled for pickup on Wednesday if conditions are deemed safe.  That determination will be announced on Tuesday afternoon or evening.

If Tuesday’s routes are collected on Wednesday, Wednesday’s routes would be scheduled for collection on Thursday.  A forecast showing additional accumulation overnight on Wednesday could further postpone collection to Friday for sanitation customers whose normal collection day is Wednesday.  In that event, those sanitation customers whose normal collection day is Thursday would be scheduled for Saturday pickup.  City staff is continuously monitoring weather conditions, and will announce updates as determinations are made.  Updates are posted at the City’s new interactive website, where sanitation customers may enter their address to receive automatic responses about collection schedules, acceptable items for trash and recycling disposal, and to schedule pickups of large or bulky items.

Updates about this week’s collection schedule are accessible by scanning the QR code below with a smartphone’s camera or by visiting https://api.recollect.net/r/area/bloomingtonin.
