American Legion Hosts Veterans' Day Ceremony at City Hall

Bloomington, IN -- The American Legion Post 18 will host a Veterans' Day ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. in front of City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street. The ceremony will recognize military veterans and those currently in service to our country.

The ceremony will include the national anthem, pledge of allegiance, the laying of the wreath and lowering of the flag to half-staff. Remarks will be made by Mayor Mark Kruzan Commander Richard Dunbar of American Legion Post 18, Monroe County Commissioner Iris Kiesling and guest speaker Lt. Colonel Kirk White of the Indiana National Guard. Colonel Turnel Nolan will emcee the event.
Following the event, a flag dedication and ham and beans lunch will be served at the American Legion, 1800 W. Third Street. The ceremony, flag dedication and lunch are free and open to the public, and parking for the ceremony will be available in the parking lot of City Hall.
