BAC Grant Guidelines and Application for 2012 Grant Cycles

The City of Bloomington Arts Commission announces revised guidelines and application for its semi-annual arts grant program. Deadline for applications is October 1 & April 1 annually, and the Arts Commission encourages all eligible organizations to apply.

Grants of up to $1,000 are available to nonprofit organizations participating in arts activities that align with current areas of focus of the Arts Commission: to cultivate a community in which residents appreciate the value of personal and collective artistic activity; to encourage collaboration in and diversification of artistic activities that include participants from across the community; to enhance and support a high level of artistry; and to support the economic vitality and interests of local artists and arts organizations.

Grant applications will be judged on three categories of criteria: artistic quality, community impact and organizational capacity.

Please note: If either the October 1 or April 1 grant deadline falls on a weekend, grants will be accepted through the following Monday at 5:00p.m.
