Bloomington
, IN - In a collaborative effort with the community to support arts space planning and development as part of its strategic plan, the City of Bloomington's Entertainment and Art District (BEAD) has launched a survey to assess art space needs in Bloomington.

The Art Space Needs Survey is open to artists of all disciplines, arts representatives, cultural and creative organizations and art instructors and students. It seeks to ascertain the current work space environment for artists and cultural organizations and highlight areas of need. The City is hoping that collaborative ideas for art space-related initiatives, such as repurposing space or providing tools in facility development for the cultural and creative sector, will be the end result of this community collaboration.

The survey is being distributed to artists and cultural organizations in Bloomington as well as through regional outlets. The survey can be completed online or is available for download at www.bloomington.in.gov/artspacesurvey until September 30.
