Bloomington, IN -- Mayor Mark Kruzan and Monroe County Commission President Patrick Stoffers have announced that all non-emergency City and County services will be closed as of noon on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

This decision was made after Kruzan and Stoffers consulted with the National Weather Service about the approaching storm system. Essential City and County services such as street, police and fire will remain active throughout the storm. The Weather Service has advised that medium freezing rain is expected to reach the area in the early afternoon today and turn to heavy freezing rain into the evening.
