Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter invites you to adopt your own "lucky charm" during a St. Patrick's Day cat adoption promotion from March 17-27.
"The shelter is full of wonderful felines without a lap to call their own," said Mayor Mark Kruzan. "We are hoping to change their luck during this St. Patrick's Day promotion."
Adopters will be able to reach into our "pot 'o gold" and pull out an adoption discount worth anywhere from $25 to the entire adoption fee. The adoption fee covers a first round of vaccinations, a free visit to a local veterinary office, feline leukemia/FIV testing, microchip identification and spay/neuter surgery. The fee for cats younger than five years of age is regularly $75 and the fee for those over five years of age is regularly $55.
The public can visit adoptable animals at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter located at 3410 S. Walnut Street. The shelter is open to the public Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Adoptable animals can also be viewed on the shelter web site at [www.bloomington.in.gov/animalshelter|www.bloomington.in.gov/animalshelter]. For more information about adoptable animals, call 349-3492.
