City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Children and Youth Accepting Applications

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington is accepting applications to fill current vacancies on the Commission on the Status of Children and Youth (CSCY). The purpose of the commission is to promote connections in our community which empower, enhance, and nurture children and youth. CSCY accesses information and resources in order to make recommendations which support systems that encourage healthy development.

Commission members work to identify and assess needs, resources and services; encourage collaboration between local agencies, schools and businesses; monitor issues and support federal, state and local legislation; empower children and youth to have a voice in the community to reach their full potential; and celebrate success!

The Commission on the Status of Children and Youth meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 401 N. Morton St., in the Hooker Conference Room, Suite 245. If you are interested in serving on the commission, please submit an online application at bloomington.in.gov/boards. Applications remain on file for one year and are reviewed as positions become open.
