City of Bloomington Community Arts Commission Announces Grant Applications Available

Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Community Arts Commission (BCAC) announces that applications are now available for the Spring Cycle of 2009 Arts Project Grant Program. Deadline for applications is October 1, 2008. The BCAC encourages all eligible artists and organizations to apply.
Grants of up to $1,000 may be awarded to both individual artists and nonprofit organizations participating in arts activities that align with the mission of the BCAC, which is to stimulate the appreciation and development of artistic activities and educational programs in the Bloomington. All activities supported through the grant must be located within the city of Bloomington.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer opportunities for artists and nonprofit organizations to make an impact on their community through the arts," said Les Coyne, chair of the BCAC. "The artistic activities supported through these grants help Bloomington be a place where the arts are enjoyed by all."
