Move your way way through Switchyard Park in honor of our local first responders and military community! 

The Heroes 5K and 1-mile Walk is hosted  by Bloomington Parks and Recreation, Bloomington Police Department, and Bloomington Fire Department

On-site registration and packet pick-up takes place near the B-Line Trail at the bosque in Switchyard Park. The course is entirely paved and takes place on the B-Line Trail and side trails around Switchyard Park.

Online registration ends Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. Day-of registration accepted (credit card or cash only) starting at a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

Day of Event Schedule: 

  • 8 a.m. - In-person registration and packet pick-up
  • 9 a.m. - 5k start
  • 9:05 a.m. - 1-mile start
