Position Description
Involved in the daily operation of a summer camp for children in grades K-7. Implements daily/weekly programs, supervises participants, and assists Camp Leadership staff.
Education
Required: At least one year of college with course work in recreation, education, and/or a related field. Preferred: College degree or equivalent experience.
Experience
Preferred: Experience in camp counseling child care, and/or programming for elementary school-age children.
Personal Attributes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment. A high level of energy, strong organizational skills, and ability to work with people (staff and participants).
Requirements
Current Adult, Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certifications. Incumbent has until the start of training in May to present the above paperwork.
Hours
An 8-9 hour shift between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and some evening, weekend, and/or overnight hours during the camp season (.June – early August). Approximately 25 hours of mandatory training to begin in May.
Salary
$15.85 per hour.
