Drop-in Group Fitness Classes at Switchyard Park
Bloomington Parks and Recreation is pleased to host Bloomington's best fitness instructors to teach outdoor classes on the main stage at Switchyard Park.
Classes are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Session II runs June 26 - August 13
Session III runs August 21 - October 8. No classes will be held September 4.
- Tai Chi: Mondays at 7-8 p.m.
Tai Chi is a moving meditation in the form of a series of gentle exercises to create harmony and cultivate our inner life energy (qi) to flow smoothly and powerfully through the body.
Instructor: Jennifer Weiss
- ZUMBA: Tuesdays at 7-8 p.m.
ZUMBA is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness party that's moving millions of people toward joy and health!
Instructors: Darrelyn Valdez & Lauren Wilson
- Yoga: Fridays at noon-1 p.m.
This Hatha-style class is designed to introduce fundamental yoga postures that build strength, balance and flexibility. This style of yoga also emphasizes mindful breath control and body alignment.
Registration is not required; simply stop in and pay the $5 per class admission fee, or buy a 10-class pass for $45.
