If you're serving food you'll need to get a license from the Department of Economic Development, as well as a Health Code inspection from the Monroe County Department of Health.

If your business is going to be based in a truck or other motor vehicle you need to apply for a mobile vendor license

If your business is going to be based out of a push cart you need to apply for a push cart license.

You'll want to have the following documents ready when you call:

  • Application for Plan Review
  • Plan Review Questionnaire
  • Schematic Layout of the Facility
  • Full Menu
  • List of Kitchen Equipment
  • Plan Review Fee

If you'll have a spark or flame in your mobile business you'll also need to schedule a time to get your business inspected for fire safety. The Fire Department will review the documents you supply and inform you of any requirements related to commercial cooking hoods and fire suppression systems.
