Resolution 11-13

This resolution is co-sponsored by Councilmembers Sandberg and Mayer and supports the establishment of a Monroe County Youth Council. The Youth Council’s purpose will be to provide a forum for youth to develop leadership skills, create youth-centered programs and initiatives that benefit the community, and to provide policy review and advice to policy makers, elected officials and government representatives. The activities of the Youth Council will be overseen by a Board of Governance (Board) consisting of members of the Asset Building Coalition as well as appointees from local units of government. In that regard, this resolution also provides for the Mayor to make one appointment to the Board.
