Resolution 20-09

This resolution brings forward the recommendations of the 2020 Jack Hopkins Social Services Funding Program Committee. The principal task of the Committee is to recommend funding for local social services agency proposals that best meet Program criteria and best meet the needs of the community. This resolution allocates a total of $318,795 to 24 different agency programs. The resolution also: approves the funding agreements with these agencies; accepts the report of the Committee; authorizes the Chair of the Committee to resolve any questions regarding the interpretation of the agreements; and adjusts the Committee membership to include four members from the Council assigned by the President of the Council and three City residents (appointed by the Committee Chair) with experience in social services. Note: This resolution was revised after release in the legislative packet but before introduction at the June 17, 2020 Regular Session to correct the spelling of Committee member Tim Mayer.
