Mr. Miller states that since the City installed sidewalks along E. Third Street that bicyclists are riding on these sidewalks at high speed. It is very dangerous for pedestrians and one day he will be hit. Is there anything the City can do?

Mr. Van Orman called to ask if speed bumps could be installed on Pete Ellis Dr. There are several elderly people who live in this area and it is unsafe to be walking in this area because cars are travelling too fast on Pete Ellis Dr.. There is also a great potential for accidents at the intersection of Pete Ellis and Longview due to the speeds.

Students from Bloomington High School North park their vehicles on Valleyview Drive, mainly from Winding Way to Parkview Drive. Mr. Steele would like to have some type of signage indicating that this is resident parking only. I explained to him that the Neighborhood Parking Program is currently on hold to add any more areas and that the only sign would be "No Parking". Mr. Craig would like to have speed humps installed on Thomson Park Drive. There are no stop signs on this stretch of road from Countryside Lane to the Park area. People speed through this area and it will be worse now that the children are out of school.
Mitchell stated that there is only one "No Parking" sign located in front of 1400 (the south side of street). The street is very narrow and traffic should not be allowed on both sides. The house to the south of 1402 is possibly a rental and vehicles are parking on the north side causing a dangerous situation. Could there be "No Parking" on the north side also. Please note the Utilities Dept. did work in this area recenlty.
April 13, approx. 4:15 p.m., City of B'ton fire truck 332 & aerial truck ran a vehicle off the road at a stop light on Third Street responding to a call regarding a structure fire in Park Square. Caller is a firefighter himself and feels it was unnecessary for the trucks to drive so fast when there were 2 other fire departments responding. Comments have been made before and this type problem should have been corrected--but wasn't.
Park Ridge West on Longview: He was there last night, the security light is out. Also, there really needs to be 2 lights there instead of 1, without it, it is really dark. Needs the light ASAP.
Sudbury states that people are travelling 60 MPH down Weimer Road. There were two accidents in the past week. She has contacted the Police Department and they have sent out officers but they only drive up and down the road. They need to have the officers stay out there and write tickets. She is possibly interested in traffic calming of some type.
