Dear Street Department, I recently moved into an apartment located in lower Bloomington on Willow Court. The stop sign at the intersection looks horribly worn and I worry that it might become a hazard. I realize it's not a high priority since Willow Court is small and has little traffic. However, there are children in the area and I worry for their safety so I thought I would at least give it a shot reaching out to you guy. A street sign is down at the north east corner of 1st and Fess. The sign ws face down, but looked to be a parking sign. I observed this about one hour ago (2pm on Oct. 20, 2017).

There is a new apartment complex, located near the corner of E. Cottage Grove Ave. and N. Walnut Street. Tenants are leaving the parking lot and exiting onto Cottage Grove Ave. Cottage Grove is a one way heading west. They proceed to head the east on Cottage Grove, and as they then approach N. Washington Street they turn without stopping because there is no stop sign. Afraid there may be a wreck, requesting remedy.

On East 17th Street in front of the Devault Alumni Center (1000 E 17th St) there is a well-used pedestrian crosswalk. The white stripes are faded and at the crest of a hill, which makes them difficult for cars to see. A sign in the center of the roadway to highlight where the crosswalk is would be more eye-catching and will help drivers notice the crosswalk. The crosswalk is also right across from a bus stop, so this causes further confusion for drivers, who may be unsure if people are waiting for the bus or getting ready to cross. If a new island type sign was erected and the bus stop was moved 40-50 feet east of the crosswalk, I believe it would make this area much safer for pedestrians and drivers.

Timing of left turn traffic light allows cars turning left onto south college off of 3rd at bypass to totally block cars heading east at 3rd and bypass sometimes or entire signal cycle. The backup is traffic light at east land plaza near Fazolis.Many cars honk, Veer into other traffic lanes, dangerous "adjustments"yelling etc.

On the corner of Moore's Pike and SR 446 is a flashing lite--yellow on 446 and red on Moore's Pike. I nearly caused an accident: I stopped while eastbound on Moore's Pk and then entered the intersection to turn left while a car was coming south 446 at full speed. I know the intersection well, but forgot that 446 has right of way & I thought 446 traffic had to stop. Please, please, please remind the drivers that "Cross traffic doesn't stop." Place flashing signs on the light and on a street sign proximal to the light. I was with my mom and talking, but not texting or fiddling with the radio. Please increase the sign warnings. My husband also once almost forgot. It's dangerous!!!!
