People do not use the turn lane as a turn lane. They instead go straight and then turn south bond 69 exit. This blocks people who are using the road properly and causes traffic Jams and close calls every time I drive this road.
To whom it may concern, I am a concerned citizen and tax payer that would like to bring up an issue and question pertaining to the road construction in Bloomington, IN. In particular, my query pertains to the construction drums/barrels that are located on State road 46/45 between North Walnut street and Ellettsville, IN. I would like to know why there has been construction drums/barrels spanning this location for 3-4 weeks now, at least, with no construction working at this location. I drive home every day around 2-3pm and have not once seen construction crew at this location working since the drums went up. There have been crew work on a light down by Kinser/46/45 the last couple of days, but if this is the case i don't see why construction barrels are running to Elletsville. These construction barrels are blocking off a whole lane of traffic causing uneeded delays in travel using one if not the busiest road in Bloomington. I understand there may be scheduling conflicts with getting road crew etc out but to block miles of road with no one working on the road for weeks/months is uncalled for and does nothing but hurt the people that travel the road which consequently are the same people that paid for it. I don't think its unreasonable for an explanation. I don't understand why you would inconvenience people and shut down half the road for miles when quiet literally no one is working on the road. It seems a better solution would be to keep the road free until you are ready to start working on it, then place the drums. When you are heading north on Rogers and approaching 1st Street, the stop sign is getting tough to see due to the trees along that stretch.
The resident at 3030 86th st Bloomington always parks his car halfway in the street. Currently the snow plows can not clear the area and it’s at an already dangerous intersection. Please endorse parking requirements with him to ensure safety for all.
Unclear road markings on Church Lane and Walnut intersection. Road moves from two lanes to one, but there is no clear marking for the turn lane/straight lane.
Someone has painted over the yellow curb on College Avenue (just north of the railroad bridge) with gray paint, allowing cars to park on the street in this area. It looks suspicious - can can you please check to see if this was done by the City or if it was just somebody trying to create an illegal parking area for themselves?
The intersection of ST45 and Range/Pete Ellis Drive is crazy. Turn lanes are for right turns not left turns. The added traffic from the hospital has only made it worst.
Street sign in front of the law school on Indiana Avenue is down.
Just south of the railroad bridge over N College, cars are routinely parked in the bike lane, requiring cyclists to swerve into the car lane to get around the parked car. This is dangerous! Please repaint the yellow curb. If you can't because of the weather, please post a temporary no-parking sign there until you can. Thanks!
Accessibility and safety issue at intersection of Williamsburg drive and the access roads to Best Buy and Barnes and Noble. There should be a stop sign for both Northbound and Southbound vehicles on Williamsburg to make it safe to cross.
