Just after the overpass when headed north on Smith Road (toward 10th Street) there is a large pothole that takes up the entirety of the bike lane. That area had been closed off for several weeks to fix a hole created by the utility crew working on the power lines. However, it was not completely filled and the hole that was left cannot be biked over safely. The situation is now more dangerous than when the area was closed off, as there are no cones or tape to indicate to the cyclists and the drivers that the cyclist will need to enter the traffic lane to avoid wrecking over the pothole. As is, this serves a serious danger. Someone is either going to get hit by a car while trying to avoid the large hole the are not expecting, or hit it and fall into traffic.

A utility cut was made at this intersection west of Upland Brewing. The work appears to be completed, but the repair of the cut leaves the cut edges too high causing severe stress to my cars suspension even if I try to go over it slowly. When will this intersection either be repaved of the utility cut filled in so that the pavement is smoother going over it? Thank you for your fine (and I go mean it) work.

The construction at the corner of 11th and Walnut of the new apartment building has left this area of Walnut hazardous and capable in inflicting vehicle damage even when travelling slowing, especially the utility cut across Walnut which has not been filled in to be even with the road surface. This is the same type of problem that existed at 11th and Rogers but is horizontal across the street instead of diagonal across the intersection. The problem at 11th was fixed but this one needs attention ASAP to prevent damage to vehicles and subsequent claims to the city for that damage. There are also breaks and holes and bumps in the pavement at the crest and going down the other side towards 12th street and so on. The corner bump-out on W 3rd at S Fairview juts out too far into the street and cars drive over it which often causes flat tires...two this past Sunday! Since W 3rd is getting fully re-paved soon (because of the sewer replacement work that is finished now) I wonder if you could shave two feet of the bump out? To be clear, I think the bump out needs to be there...it's only the south cement "curb" that needs to be cut short and re-cemented. Thanks, Jaclyn

Last year, the section of the sidewalk at Washington and Cottage Grove was replaced, but the workers left a trench in the road that collects water and breeds mosquitos. I couldn't help but notice when similar work was done this summer on 10th street and a layer of pavement was laid alongside the sidewalk to fill the trench there. Probably just an oversight but it'd be nice to get this job completed.

There is a 2 by 1 foot pothole that was intentionally dug in the alley that runs behind the property.So the pothole is between the property and the Hutton Honors College. Don't know if the city or party that dug it was looking for pipes or what, but the hole has been there for almost two weeks unfilled. There are 6 parking spots all in a row behind the property. The pothole is dug in such a way that it is directly behind a parking spot making the spot unusable. Also, when the pothole was initially dug there was already a car in the parking spot. The pothole was dug directly behind the tires of the car making it impossible to avoid when the car backed out. May want to instruct crews or whichever party was responsible not to do that. Pothole should not be hard to spot. Please let me know at the email address provided when to expect the pothole to be filled and if there is any other info you need Thank You

The brick street on Park Avenue, in between 8th and 9th Streets, was torn up by the construction crews when they built the new Fiji house. They completed the work a while ago, but the street is still in awful shape. There are ruts everywhere, and a huge hole just south of 9th street. The bricks need to be replaced on this whole block.

Can the city put some pressure on INDOT to open some lanes on 3rd and 2nd bridges? We have gridlock daily. Or maybe station cops to direct traffic? Or both? It's really out of hand and I rarely see anyone doing any work!

First of all, thank you for filling in all the potholes I have mentioned to you over the past weeks. I must say that maybe there is a misunderstanding re # 163413. I don't see any water valve there and the pothole is still the same: intersection of Jordan and Sheridan. Not far from there is another pothole: on S Eastside Drive, where it intersects with First Street. Also, there is a utility cut in front of 1800 E Second, that is getting deeper by the day.
