Outside the homeless shelter at switchyard park off the walking path are hundreds of cigarette butts. This is making the area look very trashy as well as dangerous for wildlife/animals. Please hold people that litter accountable. Please also talk to shelter organizers to provide trash stations for cigarette butts and help educate people responsible for littering.

Could you please fill dirt around the trees in the large dog park? It has been over a year since I've visited the dog park, and the swamplands around the trees is still not fixed. Creating a hill around the tree will allow the dirt to compact into flat land for future grass growth. Thank you.

Physical safety issues on playground at Switchyard Park. There are large sharp-edged rocks next to the two concrete slides separated by slippery artificial grass. I watched as small children tried to climb these rocks with no railings to hold on to, or as they tried to go up the grassy area next to the rocks and slides. This is a disaster waiting to happen! I was alarmed that a child was going to fall off the rocks or onto the sharp edges. I saw several children bump their heads on the concrete edge of the slides as they landed hard. Both of these issues need immediate attention. There needs to be a padding strip on the slides at the bottom. The large sharp-edged rocks need to be removed and steps with a railing installed on both sides of the slides.

LARGE DOG PARK: While drainage has been added and temporary fencing put in, one section of fencing (the smaller one) does not encompass all of the water problem. The last time we brought our dog here she ran into the mud puddles (multiple times) and drank the water, which has previously made her sick. We will not go back until we hear it has been fixed completely.

Along the southern edge of South East park there is a brambly thorn bush that is over hanging the sidewalk. Could it please be trimmed back off the sidewalk so pedestrians are scratched by the thorns?
I think the best way to describe the location would the edge of the park nearest the house at 1811 S Montclair.

Love all the improvements in the park! Great job. Would be nice to eliminate the spotlights shining on the red art structure in the park. The lights are on very early in the morning and in my opinion detract from early morning “vibe” in the park. Why do you need art illuminated in the park at 6:00? Who is looking at the art during that hour? Does it need to be illuminated at all?
Again love the parks and all the team does to make our parks a shining spot of Btown!

Two issues that do not reflect well on the park: the sign about native plants in a mulched bed that contains mostly weeds. (This is curly dock.) And the starlings that are nesting in the tip of the roof over the picnic tables and leaving droppings. Please do not disturb the barn swallow nest in the back corner. They are neither noisy nor messy.

There has been a guy building a permanent shelter along the B Link. I hear him hammering away at night. He has been destroying the trees and littering all over. This is becoming a concern for those of us in the neighborhood who want to walk our dogs down the trail. I’m also concerned if he is building fires back there since my neighbors houses line up against the trees there.

While weed wrangling today (Asian Bittersweet/Japanese Stiltgrass/Multi-Flora Rose), we found this Beech Tree down on one of the paths in Winslow Woods. It is on the left fork of the path closest to the community garden. We removed enough of the limbs and brush from the fallen tree for visitors to use the path. We do not know city protocol for mitigation/removal of fallen trees in greenspaces, so we left the balance of the removal for the city. Thank you.
