I have contacted the city both by phone and this website to find out why contracted construction crews have no liability for damaging a resident's vehicle while they are operating. No one from the city will give me a straight answer. The damage occurred September 15th while a contracted construction crew tore out curb corners at the intersection of West Third and Buckner Streets. It is my first new car and I had just made my first payment. The street was not closed and the crew blocked all of Third Street while demolishing the curb, making the street impassable. On the phone I was asked if I could prove the construction crew did the damage. I was home the entire day of the incident and saw the damage as soon as I stepped outside. I was told someone from the city's risk assessment department would be in touch. No one ever called. No reply to my messages to this website either. What is my recourse in this? Why is there no reply to a very reasonable question? Why are construction crews able to completely block streets without closing them? I am making a copy of this correspondence for my attorney. To: Mayor Hamilton, if you could please look at ureport case #161401 from october 3. now it is 2 months later & that crosswalk button at a very busy intersection (west 3rd st & franklin) still isn't fixed. i see mr. cibor's note there from oct.18 but even if he has to coordinate with another agency, it still shouldn't take this long. i am afraid i am going to get hit by a big truck. i cannot walk very fast because of medical problems. also, there will be snow & ice soon, making crossing there even more difficult.

requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana. Traveling south towards this intersection, as if you're traveling on Adam towards 2nd/bloomfield, this light is failing to detect cars and switch. This is the 3rd time I've waited 6+ minutes and having to then get out of my car, hit the pedestrian traffic signal, just to get the light to sometimes change.

Your construction on the city of Bloomington is awful I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to get anywhere. I leave half an hour before work which would normally be a 10min drive and still end up late on some days. Is it really necessary to have all major roads worked on at the same time?

This morning when I went to bring in my trash and recycling containers I noticed that my trash had not yet been picked up. I do see, however, that all of my neighbors have brought in their containers. I only have about one small grocery bag of trash per week, but it is still in the bottom of my trash can. As I am required to pay for this service weekly, is it possible to have my bill reduced this month as I have not received the service? thank you, Cynthia Ramlo

Dear Madam or Sir, I am writing to complain about two issues: 1) While delivering new garbage and recyclable disposer containers, the truck broke my mailbox. 2) Seems like they delivered a defective recyclable disposer container. One of the wheels fell off. I picked it up and pushed it back in several times. Now, during a pickup - that wheel just disappeared. Perhaps it fell inside the truck. Please help.
