Good afternoon, I am with the Columbus City Utilities and we are shopping for new software. Our director, Keith Reeves, has always been a fan of Bloomington Utilities and we were wondering what software you use for customer accounts? How satisfied are you with it? Thanks, Chelsa Goben Lead Accountant

Dear Ms Carter, Good Morning. Thank you so much-I appreciate the help (Reference uReport Case #163754) I talked to you on last Friday. You asked me about my problems and the same day sent help to (1) fix the wheels of the recycle bin and (2) to fix the mail box and attach it firmly to the stand (the base of the mailbox is broken but that's not creating any problems; moreover, it was a day of constant rain and there was no way to address that) Overall, I am thankful and satisfied. Based on past experiences, getting something done at home has been a real hassle. So, the expectations were about long delay and repeated requests and so on. So, I really appreciate the courteous, prompt and professional service. And, as someone who has been a government employee throughout one's career (I have always taught in public universities), I also feel extra proud. With sincere regards, Arkadev

Hi, I live at 4200 E Saratoga, zip 47408 and my backyard is adjacent to commercial property on the north side of 3rd st. There is a building with lighting that I believe to be non-compliant with city code. the location is 4213 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401 and it's Strauser Construction. They have a very bright light on the rear of the building that is one all night and is an open bulb with no cover. It's like a spot light shining on my house and yard, and into our windows. The light is on the rear, west corner of the building and there may be on on the east corner as well. I am hoping someone from the city can confirm compliance with city code and request a cover or timed security light or dimmer bulb. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to assist. Thank you!

Hello, I had contacted you about a commercial property that is adjacent to my home that has very bright lights shining into my yard all night long. The uReport case # was 163922 The case was closed but the issue is not resolved. The building has three open bulbs with no covers on them, shining all night long. The property owner told Carl Budden that they would orient the lights downward, but it doesn't matter because the lights have no covers and are just open round bulbs shining in every direction.

I am a resident at 2015 S. Georgetown Rd. While I greatly appreciate and like the new trash removal bins, I am a bit surprised at how early trash removal starts in my neighborhood. Removal starts as early as 5:25 am in my neighborhood on Thursday mornings. The trucks back down by street with the loud beeping noise and the when the trucks dump the trash from the new bins it is quite loud even with windows closed. My neighbors and I are unfortunately woken up by the noise most Thursdays at 5:30am. What time is trash removal supposed to start? Can it be shifted to at LEAST 6:00 am? I'm not sure if this is a noise ordinance violation but seems like it might be. Thanks, Aaron Neal 812-340-2565

Hi, I am kind of confused about offroading laws / city ordinances. From what I can tell it is not illegal to drive a vehicle (say a jeep) on someone elses property unless one of the following is true: - There are posted no trespassing signs - You are told to stop - You have to bypass some sort of security system (such as a locked gated) This doesn't sound right to me though. Surely i'm missing something? Or is it legal to drive a vehicle on someones yard or something as long as you are not explicitly told not to? That would seem weird to me but I just cant find anything that says otherwise.
