On my walk in this morning, the metal storm grate on the north-east corner of 3rd and College had completely fallen down into the drain leaving the opening unprotected. Thank you!
The storm drain inlet on the east side of S. Sare Rd has been blocked by yard waste. The drain is located south of the intersection of Sare and Spicewood Ln.
The issue with this ongoing construction site continues. The workers on-site drove over the silt fence that was supposed to stop concrete run off and they have made no attempts to fix it. Every single time it rains, there is a build up of run off on the sidewalk that prevents water from draining properly and is contaminating the water systems with who knows what. The property has not ever disposed of it properly either (they literally just shovel it onto a tree stump instead of renting a proper disposal receptacle).
Wednesday, August 9 The catch basin on the west side of the street just north of where the Indiana Rail Road crosses Pete Ellis Drive seems to be plugged somewhere underneath the road. Debris doesn’t pile up on the grate the way it used to, and the large puddle I observed after this afternoon’s thunderstorm was draining only slowly. Water coming up from this area is staying on the street drainage. It seems to be worse since the crews recently came through to install fiber. I see multiple reports on this issue have been made but there's water there now that could be tested.
Constant water source seeming to come up from the road or sidewalk on the southeast corner of Bainbridge and Allendale.
All of the storm sewers along Hillside De that I ran past this morning between Moores Pike and Henderson were very clogged with debris and mud. You could barely see where they were besides the excess sticks, leaves, and mud buildup. Often times our neighborhood drains (Sycamore Knolls) are similar after a big storm.
I am a resident here and they are building a new development, however there is no effort to keep run off from coming from the construction drive (our driveway is often covered in mud, gravel, and concrete run-off). It has gotten so out of control that there is literally a pile of concrete run-off on a sidewalk going down Allen St towards the neighboring apartment complex (Gardens Edge). They also have concrete run-off going into our yard space in the complex where many people take their dogs and children to enjoy the outdoors.
