On behalf of Crescent Bend Neighborhoos Association, I am reporting large CBU property ADJACENT to 1221 N Lindbergh. It needs major maintenance! The STORM PIPE seems to be plugged up with debris, causing the water to stream across the street. The large CBU lot needs TRASH PICK-UP and massive INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL.
On behalf of Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association---CBU drainage ditch requires maintenance--DEAD TREE REMOVAL, INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL and TRASH REMOVAL. The tree snags pictured are located parallel on the east of side 1305 W 17th St. near the neighborhood Little Free Library. The ditch curves east on W 17th to the roundabout, where there is a trash problem. The ditch heads south all the to W. 16th & Hancock where if flows down from Crestmont Park. The entire area is full of Asian Bush Honeysuckle, an invasive species. I have more pictures, but I can only submit 1 photo on the U-Report. The big picture is that CBU owns a large portion of our huge block and it all needs some landowner attention and maintenance near W 17th St, Lindbergh St, corner of 16th & Hancock, and the roundabout. I would like to know who installed this on my property. It’s leaking e. coli and that needs to be fixed.
The water department dug this hole in my yard along with another huge hole earlier this summer. The other was filled and reseeded but this never was.
Bamboo overgrowth 1115 W 6th Street's SouthEast corner fence line is spilling over to easements of the three adjacent neighbors yards and easements. In addition to the rampant spread of this address's bamboo cluster, there is very serious concern that the utility pipes, water and gas lines, that run along the easements will be damaged or impinged upon. There is a city policy that overgrowth in yard cannot exceed a height of 8". Some of this bamboo overgrowth is over 15 feet! I love plants and I don't want to have bad relations with my neighbors, but bamboo is a terrifyingly overly successful plant species that belongs in a container. After hearing a story about bamboo on WFIU, I was heartened to learn that there might be some support from the city to help with this very insistent bamboo problem.
Area near the hydrant replacement remains significantly depressed. Is a trip/fall hazard. I was waiting to see if grass would sprout and what that effect would be, but exceptionally minimal grass has grown despite significant moisture and coverage. 4021 E. Morningside Drive
Power or communication cables are tied down to a seemingly dead tree on the back of my property. Also large growth on neighboring pole in my front/side yard.
Fire hydrant was recently replaced in front yard. Big hole was dug as part of the work. Was filled in (Friday?). Ground where dug now is several inches obviously below rest of ground level. Assuming settled with aid of rain. Needs leveled.
405 E 20th Street Bloomington IN: CBU repaired a water line at the rear of the property, removed a fence and did not repair or replace the fence. Reported to CBU Transmission & Distribution last week, not follow-up phone call. Olympus Properties (812) 334-8200
New meter pit installation at 2563 E 8TH ST 47408 in April. Hazardous hole still exists around new meter pit.
