The barricades set up on Rockport Road at the intersection of Roger's Street and Rockport Road are creating a dangerous situation. Specifically, the barricade in the lane for Rockport approaching Rogers requires traffic to drive in to oncoming traffic. This particular barricade doesn't seem to serve any purpose, as it is only visible to traffic traveling on Rockport towards Rogers street, the opposite direction of the Tapp/Rockport intersection.

Crosswalk needs a vertical sign to caution drivers to slow down and respect crosswalk. This is at Hunter and High St.

200-236 South Jordan Avenue

I recommend removing the new zebra crossing at the lights on the corner of 3rd and Jordan. It is the only zebra crossong at this intersection but all pedestrian crossing at this intersection is controlled by crossing signals. I have seen a number of pedestrians cross against the crossing signal at this zebra crossing suggesting there may be some confusion regarding when pedestrians can cross.

1800-1820 North Kinser Pike

In the morning from 7-9 the traffic gets extremely backed up on Kinser Pike coming from the North, the neighborhoods and the school buses from the High School. The left turn signal, to turn on to 45/46, is extremely short, less than 10 seconds I would say, and then it's extremely hard to turn left on green as there are lots of cars coming across the intersection. Is there any way to make this turn signal longer for at least those 2 hours in the morning? Traffic is sometimes backed up all the way to the Skate Park, which is on a curve so that is very dangerous. You round the blind curve and all of a sudden there is stopped traffic. There are no speed limit signs on the part of Jordan ave that goes through campus (i contacted IUPD about this and they told me because it was a city street to contact the city). IUPD also told me the speed limit on that part of Jordan is currently 30mph; with the new work done last year, there are now five pedestrian crosswalks not at intersections on this section of the road, so that speed is probably too high, particularly with the hill and curve in the road near the Musical Arts Center.

When traveling W. on Kirkwood and coming to the light at Adams, there are 2 left turn lanes but no good markings to guide cars to their respective lanes on Adams. We were almost hit by a car next to us that drifted into our lane as we turned. You need to put some nice wide solid white arcs to prevent an accident there.

The City has done a great job getting the traffic lights between 1st street onward north on Walnut Street timed so that driven at the speed limit, one can easily drive on Walnut without hitting any red lights. This greatly decreases traffic, improves commute time, and increases gas mileage. It's a pleasure to drive through these timed lights.. except...
The new light at Walnut and Smith is not incorporated with the other timed lights. It's a good light for the parents who are dropping their children off at the Project School, and I understand the need for it, but it appears that light is triggered by a vehicle waiting on Smith Ave, and the trigger occurs very quickly once a vehicle stops there to wait. I'm sure this is fine during school hours, as not many vehicles use that light, but during the morning traffic flow, many parents use that light, and that signal interrupts the flow of traffic on Walnut.
This could be fixed by eliminating the trigger based on a waiting vehicle on Smith, and incorporating that light with the other timed lights. This traffic pattern works well for all of the other cross streets, I don't see why it would be an inconvenience for anyone waiting at the light on Smith.

I work for IU Campus Bus Service. Saturday, we were driving a special service that necessitated that we use the new portion of Woodlawn Avenue. (Once the railroad crossing is complete, buses will go up and down Woodlawn Avenue from the Stadium to Campus and back about 70 times a day during the week.) I noticed that a vehicle was parked on Woodlawn just north of 14th St. on the east side of the street blocking the bike lane, but mostly out of the lane of car traffic. I also noticed there are no "No Parking" signs on this new stretch of Woodlawn. Can those be added to prevent people from parking here? Thank you.

Good afternoon. I live at 415 W. Graham Drive on the south side of Bloomington. I am writing in hopes of having a two- way stop become a four-way stop at the cross roads of Graham and Madison streets (and possible speed bumps put in). I have noticed (a lot) of drivers who turn on to Graham accelerate to a high speed because the west/ east of Graham does not have to stop at the intersection where Madison crosses (north to south). I cannot tell you how many times I have heard breaks squeal because the driver at the stop sign does not realize that cross traffic does not stop. Graham has a very high volume of foot traffic whether it be pedestrians walking to the bline, or their pets, or children walking home from the school bus. This makes for a very dangerous situation. I realize this is not a residential neighborhood- it's more of a city street, but I am concerned for everyone's well being and I believe making that a four-way stop would aide in motorists to slow down and be more aware of their surroundings.
