Water doesn't drain at all at this drain site. It pools in the street, and runs downhill overwhelming the drainage capacity on the other side of the circle down by 170 E Sunny Slopes Dr.
This property collects water in its basement, owner disposes of water by running a hose tube, to the property line, which causes soil erosion, utility pole erosion, and water on public sidewalk.
There is a drainage issue outside our neighbor’s home that is running in front of our home as well. The standing water has been there for about a year, is disgusting and has an odor that smells like fish. I am concerned about our children getting sick from getting this contaminated water on their hands and body. This is located on the cul-de-sac of S Bay Hill Court in Fieldstone Subdivision - specifically in front of 431 S Bay Hill Court. 11th Street floods every time it rains hard. The drain grates are clear of debris, but the storm sewers aren't handling the water and the street floods and floods multiple properties.
Behind my home in Winslow Woods is a culvert that the city never maintains. It is now flooding with water and the water is creeping up towards all our homes on Azalea Lane.
The storm drain has collected a lot of leaves. I try to blow the leaves back into the yard, but on windy days and rainy days they have been washed down the drain. So far water has not collected there or been restricted from draining, but it is getting pretty full. Just thought you should know. It is on the northeast corner.
The storm drain couldn't handle all the water from the bad storm over the weekend, and the runoff created a hole behind the drain. Don't know if there's any damage, but if anything, the grate needs a thorough cleaning. Thank you!
Hello - I am the homeowner at 102 South Waldron St. here in Bloomington. This past Friday my basement flooded an excessive amount (3 feet) due to water buildup on Waldron Street. This has happened 4 times over the past 6 years I have lived here because the water has nowhere to go due to the flat area at the bottom of Waldron Street. I am requesting a storm drain be installed on Waldron Street just North of my house and in front of 100 South Waldron Street. My neighbors basement has also been severely flooded over the years due to water buildup from the street - the homeowners name is Simon Ladd. We both have sub pumps in our basements (I actually have 2) and it still doesn’t solve the flooding issue. I have spoken to Mr. Ladd and we both agree the best solution is for the city to install a storm drain. My number is 812-369-0765. Hi, We know that this property has a new owner and was purchased earlier this year. Due to the storms on Friday night of last week...there is a lot of debris blocking the ditch and culvert. We are expecting rain again tomorrow and this weekend. Can the city contact the new owners to come and clean up their culvert and ditch along High street before the impending rains this weekend? This affects the whole neighborhood and will cause backups of water. Thank you.
