Water flooding from main to street

The picture is at the SW corner of Pickwick and Winfield. The grade of both Pickwick and Winfield cause water to pool at the SW corner every time it rains. The water stands for several days, especially in the corner of our yard. The problem is made worse by the curbs that have been added north of this corner. Someone from the city did come out and look at it and admitted there was a problem several years ago. We have called repeatedly and can't get any action. As we are reminded, this is a health hazard since it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Please help.

Can't get a photo to upload to uReport. There appears to be a minor water leak coming from under the edge of the asphalt at the corner of Bainbridge and Allendale. Curb has been holding water for a while and there seems to be a small but increasing flow.

The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.

Hello - I am the homeowner at 102 South Waldron St. here in Bloomington. This past Friday my basement flooded an excessive amount (3 feet) due to water buildup on Waldron Street. This has happened 4 times over the past 6 years I have lived here because the water has nowhere to go due to the flat area at the bottom of Waldron Street. I am requesting a storm drain be installed on Waldron Street just North of my house and in front of 100 South Waldron Street. My neighbors basement has also been severely flooded over the years due to water buildup from the street - the homeowners name is Simon Ladd. We both have sub pumps in our basements (I actually have 2) and it still doesn’t solve the flooding issue. I have spoken to Mr. Ladd and we both agree the best solution is for the city to install a storm drain. My number is 812-369-0765. I am requesting a ditch or pipe be installed in the wooded easement south of my property that will move the water out to the storm drain that was recently installed last year on Waldron Street in front my house. On April 13th of this year, we received a lot of rain in just a couple hours and I noticed most of the water was coming from the wooded easement South of my house and running down into my yard, pooling up and overflowing down near my basement (where i've had flooding from the street runoff in years past). The drainage hole in the backyard between 4100 Bill Mallory Bld and 714 S Park Ridge Rd (Gentry Honours) is filled with mud and causing slow drainage and standing water. The drain appears to need a grate covering and possible rip rap to prevent debris from washing into the drain. The standing water which last for a couple days after rain is causing a mosquito infestation. It has become a health hazard. Please let me know how I should proceed. I am a resident at Patterson Pointe, 454 S Westplex Ave. The construction at the site directly east of the apartment building has begun with earthwork. A pit has been dug on the site and now contains green water. I don't know where the water has accumulated from, it's more than rain or runoff. Will the city check the water for contamination and make sure it is pumped out and disposed of properly? You don't need to contact me about this, I just wanted to make sure someone at the city is aware. Thank you.
