Following any CoB link on a Mobile phone automatically redirects to the Mobile site. The original target of the link is lost and clicking "view full site" then take me to the home page. It makes all outreach efforts by your departments useless unless people are on actual computers.
I tried to report a traffic problem. The website still submits the report instead of opening the location picker. Then it told me the server was "unavailable" when I tried again and hit the submit button without selecting a location. I have: 1 GB RAM Windows XP SP3 Firefox 28.0 1024 X 768 pixel monitor.
I find the city website rather difficult to use, and aesthetically, it isn't very pleasing. Personally, I find that it is in need of some updates and remodeling - it looks rather aged, and has many outdated links in pages. I am often very interesting in economic and park development, as well as future projects and proposals to the development of the city - such as the Certified Technology Park, and the Switchyard Park development. I hope to see a site redesign that streamlines everything, makes it beautifully simple, and highlights "new" news regarding city events and developments, while archiving some of the older events and developments.
It would be nice if there were a calender of events at Bryan Park and Bryan Park pool. If there is it is so well hidden that I could no find it. The park web site says that there are many events at the pool and park but does not list when they occur.
I wanted to report a pothole, so I first looked under "Streets", but there was no place there for potholes. I then looked under "Hazards", but there wasn't a place there either. I finally found it under "Most Popular". It's OK to put things under "Most Popular", but they also should be under the category that they logically fit under.
Fee Lane Northbound Lane and Sidewalk Closure (06/15/2015 – 08/03/2015) The northbound lane and sidewalk of Fee Lane between 11th Street and Law Lane will be closed through approximately 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, to install new steam and water lines. Hello Folks, Please consider removing the restrictions on permissible files for uploading. The current size & limited file type is unhelpful for reporting. Under the previous administration, I could snap a photo of the issue & then submit with UReport to the City of Bloomington. With the current site revision, one is unable to send a photo from most cell phones. Thank you.
Hello, I wanted to ask where Bloomington is at with setting up a community owned internet service provider. I have not heard about it in the news lately and was wondering if there were any updates. This issue is especially important to me after the FCC's vote against Net Neutrality. I believe community owned internet would be a great step in the right direction. Thank you.
