Parking Violations 814 South Eastside Drive. Every day the illegal number of tenants at 814 S. Eastside Drive block my father's (a senior citizen) ability to get out of his driveway because they are violating parking ordinances (Parking in the street -and extending out of driveways). There are multiple cars parking in spaces that are in yellow, in front of fire hydrants, and in front of and blocking driveways. Please ticket cars on Smith inbetween Grant and Lincoln. It has never really been supervised but is particularly out of hand right now. I could barely see my driveway let alone access it because there was a car almost in front of it and then when looking at my neighbors driveway, realized that a car was parked completely in front of it. Also a car has been parked in front of a fire hydrant at the corner of grant and smith for the whole weekend.
I rec'd a parking ticket today and I want you to know why. I am not appealing it. First time users are at a loss when using the credit card. there should be easy to follow prompts on the screen, and posted somewhere close instructions as to how to use it. I thought I had 3 hrs, turned out I didn't. Procedures should be clear enough that this doesn't happen.
I REPORTED A MALFUNCTIONING PARKING METER AT ZONE7683, METER#SCOL107A. I DEPOSITED $2.00 IN THE METER AND IT DID NOT CREDIT ME ANY TIME AT ALL. I MOVED TO A DIFFERENT SPACE, TO AVOID GETTING A TICKET, AND HAPPENED TO RUN INTO THE METER LADY WHO GAVE ME THE NUMBER TO CALL TO REPORT THE METER. A METER TECH CAME RIGHT AWAY, AND REPAIRED THE METER, BUT COULD NOT REFUND MY $2.00. I UNDERSTAND THINGS BREAK, BUT IF I HAD NOT NOTICED THE MALFUNCTION, I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A TICKET. IF I HAD NOT REPORTED IT SOMEONE ELSE COULD HAVE GOTTEN A TICKET. SO I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK. QUARTERS WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE.
I tried to call the number listed for reporting parking meter issues and some guy just said hello then hung up on me after asking who I was trying to reach then I tried again and nobody answer. Anyway, twice in the past month I put in $.25 (was dimes and nickels, not quarters, and yes I counted correctly) and it didn't give me the full 15 minutes. Also, the one time I tried my IUCU debit/credit card it wouldn't take it. I don't want to get a ticket for not being able to use a card if that is all I have or for putting in the correct amount of money and not being given the full amount of time. Not sure why either is happening but both are very problematic. Thank you.
Today I parked in spot 115B on the east side of the square. I swiped my card several times, and it kept saying "transaction cancelled". I had just used my debit card at the store with no issues. I dug through the car for change, and was able to pay with change with no issues. But the meter refused to accept my card. I have never had a problem before, and it was very strange.
I paid my son's 40.00 parking ticket #I1200280 on line May 9, 2012. Your website said that it did not go through. So I tried it again, and it said there was a problem with the credit card. I tried it one more time and it went through. Well... I received three receipts saying it was paid. So now I have paid 80.00 for a 40.00 ticket. Please check into this error and make the necessary changes as soon as possible. I hope that the 3rd receipt does not show up on my credit card. You may also want to look into your website and figure out WHY this happened. I will be looking for a credit to my account and would appreciate an acknowledgement to this issue. Sincerely Karen M. I have been contacted about 2 outstanding parking tickets. I have spoken with the collection agency to inform them that those tickets were paid and I gave them the confirmation number that the tickets were never delinquent. The person I spoke with didn't update their system with the confirmation numbers in order to follow up with you (on March 21, 2012) and they called me again today. I would like to email you the receipt that I received from your website when I paid. Narrow streets, posted no parking by City. S Mill Stone Ct, S Mill Stone Way. A few residents continually park their cars on the street, making driving difficult. Would like an occasional police car to come through and write tickets.
There is a black BMW 'parked' in the 800 Block of West 3rd st with expired plates that looks abandon. It has not moved in quite some time and perhaps should be removed. Thanks.
