Inquiring about case #212042, filed in June. The 2 trees have come down farther now and block part of the sidewalk. I talk to several neighbors as we are walking throughout the neighborhood, and they are sick of it. Get this taken care of please.

I have reached out to Switchyard Park by phone, by email, by social media MULTIPLE times about the noise levels in switchyard park. I’ve also had to call the non-emergency line to see if the police can do anything. (I didn’t know what else to do.) They agreed the noise was very loud but they couldn’t find employees and the performers had permits, so nothing was done. The officers suggested I reach out to the city council. My mother has MS and has an hard time moving around due to this condition and I have autism amongst other health issues. We are being run out of our house almost every time there are events at switchyard park. I understand it is a community park and I do not have an issue with the music or events. I do not want to ruin anyone’s experience whatsoever. It’s the volume that is the issue. The bass is so high it shakes our house. We didn’t know when we purchased our home this would be so much of an issue, and cannot afford to move. When I complain the noise level goes down for a week or so and then right back up. My own birthday party had to be cancelled early due to no one being able to converse inside. Today I had to arrange for my mother with a DISABILITY to be picked up from our home, due to me being at work, because the noise is so bad she can’t even watch tv with the volume turned up and was extremely agitated by the home shaking.
I’m in no way asking to cancel anything. We ourselves enjoy some events at the park. I just feel as if being run out of my own home is unfair, especially when all I want to do is come home from work and relax.
We are NOT safe to relax in our own home. Is there any way there can be a noise/bass level set so our neighborhood can rest in peace, in our own homes?

Tonight (Aug 28th) the music at Switchyard is WAY TOO LOUD. I am in my apt at south rockport rd and I cant even hear my television, my dogs keep barking, my son with autism has had a few meltdowns. Usually I hear it slightly. I hear it as if I am their in front of the band tonight. I thought of calling police for a noise complaint is it would work to make them turn it down.
