The trail has large patches of ice between 4th and 2nd. The bridge to the trail on 3rd has lots of bad patches. The sidewalk adjacent to the north side of the convention center has not been cleared at all. The sidewalk on 4th adjacent to Centerpoint is an icy mess (but if course their parking lot is cleared, because our community values people who drive more than people who walk). Two homes on the north side of 3rd between Rogers and Jackson haven’t cleared their walks.

On 1/24/2025 and 9:15 AM on bus #0348, I observed the strong odor of and could see smoke-haze from deisel exhaust backing up into the public bus. I have spoken to Bloomington Transportation dispatch and customer service and was told that, "That is just part of the bus's regenerative re-uptake process." When they refused to take this matter seriously in the past, I contacted the EPA. The EPA shall be contacted again on this issue since neither the city nor bus company will take this matter seriously, which inevitably affects the city's rating with the EPA as a green-friendly city. 'Light the Way' blue sign in the ROW at this location. There are 27 of these same signs on fences and in yards within a couple of adjacent blocks along E First Street. An unnecessary proliferation of signs, if I ever saw one.

Someone moved a dead raccoon from the roadway to our yard, where it is currently decomposing. We are at 1300 E Hillside Drive, immediately east of the Hillside Church of Christ. The dead raccoon is currently under an ornamental tree in our front yard, on the west side of the lot, which is the side nearest the church's driveway. Can you please advise how we go about having this dead animal removed? Many thanks for any help. Darrin Dolehanty

Not really a "Traffic signal" but I couldn't find a "Sign" category: The "No Parking" sign in front of 1300 E. Southdowns Dr. was rammed and damaged by a fast-moving hit-and-run white panel truck at 2:30 pm today, 5/28/2014. Sign was bent and is now leaning. I heard the noise, saw the truck driving past, but did not notice identifying markings on the truck -- it may have been solid white. It had to be driving on the grass to do this damage.
