I use the Walnut St and Fairfax Rd intersection about 10 time a week, going to and from work. Coming from Fairfax Rd turning left on to Walnut (to get to 37) is challenging, inefficient and dangerous. There is a designated left turn lane, but no left turn green light. Frequently only one car is able to turn left during a green light, causing several cars behind also turning left (after the light has changed) to rush through on turning left to get through intersection. Coming from the opposite direction, there is no left turn lane and to my knowledge no other designated lane, but the lane is wide enough for cars that are going straight to pass (on the right) the vehicles stuck waiting to turn left. Thus potentially causing an accident in the intersection. Left turning cars onto Walnut St don't see the 2nd car across passing the car in front of them waiting to turn left on to Walnut St. My suggestion would be to clearly mark lanes on each side of the intersection and put up a traffic light that includes green left turn signals for the Fairfax Rd and Walnut Street intersection. I work at the school of Business and travel south on Fee Lane. I noticed that there are no speed limit signs from 17th to 10th street. When students are present I usually travel about 20 miles an hour. Yesterday a motorist passed me just before you get to the crosswalk in front of Mc Nutt. There were waves of student on both sides of Fee lane. This motorist crossed the double yellow lines traveling at about 35 miles an hour. Can speed limit signs be installed for about 20 miles an hour? This is a dangerous place for pedestrians.

I have reported this intersection (Allendale and Winslow) before. Motorists run through the stop signs on Allendale on a regular basis. I see this at least once per week (I live in Sherwood Oaks) and each member of my family observes this as well, so it happens a LOT. Several years ago I was told you were going to install bigger stop signs and put on on each side of the road to make them more visible. Nothing has happened. Perhaps a glowing/flashing stop sign such as they have in other cities? Thank you, Kim

For years I have seen many drivers on Rogers (both directions) blow through the stop sign at Dodds. I’ve had three near-misses that I can recall and have seen others have near misses. I saw 2 just today. I’ve come to the point where I think there is something wrong that so many run this stop sign. I don’t know if more prominent striping on the street or larger signs will help or not, but I feel it needs investigation.

IUPD has contacted the Facility Operations Control Center for the Bloomington Campus about stopping several vehicles going the wrong way on a one way street. The intersection that is causing the problem is 8th & Indiana, IUPD would like the area better marked with a Do Not Enter sign or better placement of current signs.

west 3rd Ave. I total understand that road construction needs to be completed and delays can be expected. However, the traffic pattern on west 3rd over 37 is unacceptable. I live of Johnson Drive (a few blocks east of the intersection) and I can't even get home without be blocked by traffic for 25 to 30 minutes. The construction company seems to have enough paved space now to keep 2 east/west bound lanes open and keep the traffic flow going. They need to re strip the lanes and/or have police direct traffic. There are only 2 fully operational overpasses on 37 which would be fullerton way south or 46 up north squeezing all the traffic on to 2nd/3rd which are both restricted in lanes. As I said, delays can be expected with construction but the times are unacceptable.

Can you shorten the duration of the green light for Winslow and Country Club since Country Club is closed? There is much less traffic on Winslow now so the light stays green with no traffic at all.
