I've recently noticed the Rail Trail between Country Club Drive and Gordon Pike has sections of large gravel (see attached photo). I appreciate that maintenance is being done, assuming the City is responsible for this work. But, I am concerned because this large gravel is inconsistent with the existing surface for the trail. As a bike commuter and runner on this section of the trail, I was disappointed to see large gravel appear on the surface. The Rail Trail is a great surface to run and walk on and commute on. These patches of large gravel pieces diminish it's utility and enjoyment. Are there plans to use large gravel more often on the trail? I request that the smaller, packed surface be maintained. The lack of shoulders on the roads is a serious problem in Bloomington. I have lived in a number of cities across the US and Bloomington is the first city I've seen that has very few (if any?) shoulders on the roads. This is unbelievably problematic - if someone has car trouble they can't pull off to the side, if you are dropping someone off you can't just pull off to the side, if I receive a phone call I can't pull over, if riding a bicycle you can't ride along the side.... there are a fair number (surely more than is acceptable) of bike and scooter accidents in Bloomington, and this can largely be attributed to lack of shoulders on roads.

The brush on the west side of Rockport Rd just south of Pinehurst Dr. needs trimmed back. It is difficult to see oncoming traffic when turning left onto Rockport from Pinehurst.

Would it be possible to install a crosswalk button for pedestrians who cross the street on the corner of 3rd and Hawthorne? The light generally does not change to cross 3rd. unless there is a car at the light waiting to cross 3rd on Hawthorne. It ends up with people crossing on a red light and people speed coming over that hill it is dangerous. Thank you, Omar Alani

the traffic light at the corner of 2nd street and high street needs fixing. the turn arrow going south (coming from the east) always engages, even with no cars in the turn lane. and it stays for a long time. this has happened several times in the past.

Wait/Walk signals at Atwater and Woodlawn are confusing. Unless someone happens to press the button before the light changes, the wait signal stays on the whole time. Foreign students get especially confused. The 3rd and Woodlawn wait/walk signals can also be confusing, but are not nearly as bad.

The flashing yellow arrow and the steady clearance arrow are kn each other's position northbound Patterson at 2nd. The order of signal displays should be with the most permissive at the bottom and the most restrictive at the top.

"Intersection of 2nd St and Basswood Rd is very dangerous. Would like City to look into placing some kind of stop/traffic control there. Cars have a very difficult time crossing 2nd St at this location.
