Ms. Shapiro wrote to thank the Department for closing the Stull St. parking lot this winter. She indicated that when the lot is open, loud noise creates problems for her.
Catherine did not pay the "unregistered fee" for $105.00 at this time because she doesn't understand how it could be applicable to her, and has requested that someone explain it to her. She states that neither her nor her husband received any notification that they had to register with the COB, until HAND notified them this summer, stating that you had to register to rent. SEE ATTACHED LETTER. (AK)
LETTER WAS RECD. FROM TERRY AND THERESA DUEMLER. THE DUEMLERS STATED THAT THEY RECEIVED A HIGH SEWER BILL DUE TO WATERING AND ARE REQUESTING THAT A CREDIT BE ALLOWED FOR WATERING.
LETTER WAS REC'D. FROM MS. THRASHER REQUESTING THAT CBU ALLOW MORE MONTHS DURING WHICH CREDIT IS ALLOWED FOR WATERING LAWNS.
Ms. Anton wrote the Council concerned about flyers being placed on her door. She was worried that if they were placed while she was away burlars would know that no one was home. She wanted to know whether we had or would consider an ordinance prohibiting the use of flyers. Do we have any regulations regarding the use of door hanger notices?
There are always 4-5 junk cars in the parking lot next to the shop along with an old trailer and assorted junk appliances. The bldg is shabby and run down. This has been going on for years.
Letter rec'd. from Jackie Bowman Helton requesting appeal by USB Admin. Subcommittee on charges on her account for 1323 W. 8th St. She had a leak in the stool and feels she should not be responsible for water bill due to leak.
Phyllis & Samuel Guskin wrote re. 1725 E. Hunter Ave. They want to object to a request to subdivide existing single family residential lot at 1900 Atwater. They feel that the land is unsuitable for development because it appears to be a sinkhole. They also feel that the water retention needs should be addressed before any development is permitted. Letter was received by Util. Dept. but referred to COB Planning Dept.
Letter states that water line broke and was damaging her property. Even though water line was not on her property, she repaired the problem and is now requesting reimbursement for the repair bill.
