Our toilet will not flush and neither will the neighbor's. We have both had the drainage pipe reamed out to the street and the problem is still there. We think the blockage is across the street by the stream. Please unclog this for us.

8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?

At bottom of driveway is larger patch of frozen water. We have had numerous water lines breaking and wonder if this is another? Ice patch is in curb and in street.

Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to report an issue concerning the curb and storm drain located at the southern end of Stratford Dr, in front of our residence (3020 S Stratford Dr, Bloomington IN, 47401). The curb is currently obstructed by leaves, twigs, and organic sediment (as shown in the attached photo), impeding effective drainage during rainfall. As a result, our front yard experiences flooding with every rain shower. We kindly request that the curb and its immediate surroundings be thoroughly cleaned to restore proper drainage functionality. Once this maintenance is completed, we are committed to maintaining the storm drain area to ensure its continued effectiveness. Thank you for your attention to this matter. A few minutes ago, a white dump truck without City emblems stopped in front of my house. Two men got out and shoveled the leaves from the drain in front of my house and across the street into the drains. I thought we weren’t supposed to put leaves in the drain. The drain in front of my house is my adopt-a-drain, so it didn't have many leaves but the one across the street had more.

The main sewage line north of my home is backing up (again). This is a recurring issue. The water/sewage level at the access hole has reached the level of the basement, and the basement toilet has started to back up. Please clean out the blockage in the main sewage. I am aware that you had crews there earlier this year to cut back roots, but something is blocking this sewage line now.

Constant water discharge from MC Highway Dept Outlet 43 pictured above. Inspection of first upstream storm drain (690) of outlet 43 revealed no flow. Property owner reported that CBU has previously repaired water line between outlet 43 and storm drain 690. Water discharge is at a constant rate, even during periods of dry weather.

Water Utility Billing Problems

Hello - We are submitting a complaint against the City of Bloomington Utilities for the following reasons: 1. We were notified in February 2024 of a 40 g/h increase in our flow, while we were out of the state on vacation, via a door tag, not a notice to our email or even a phone call, which are on our account, a door tag. 2. We have called Customer Support three times to get this resolved, as we have not identified a leak inside the house nor outside the house between the reader and the house, which we utilized Aim To Please as our contractor to check everything in the house. 3. The number of times we were told to check our toilets and got brushed off was disrespectful and patronizing, as we utilized Aim to Please to check the toilets via a Dye test and there was no dye leakage after 20 minutes in any toilet. 4. Our March (5), April (4), May (7), and June (4), and July (5) are higher than all the months prior a full year to date. However, it's not a constant leak, they are sporadic. I.e. - while I was putting my kids to bed at 9pm on Friday, June 14th, there was a spike of 400 g/h for under an hour and then it went back down. There was nothing running in terms of faucets or outside spigots. 5. Even with all of our work on our end, and the conversations with CBU Customer Support, the fact that CBU won't consider that we have a malfunctioning reader, is simply astounding. To not even consider the possibility of it, and have a denialist mentality does not, to me, show customer support or attention. We would appreciate a review and investigation of our reader and our usage reports to better understand these spikes. Additionally, we would appreciate a review of our billing because we are now paying quite a bit more for water than we did for the first two years of our ownership of this house. Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

I have called several times over the last 3 years to report a dangerous curb on our street corner. Last summer a young child was injured when they hit the broken curb and fell. Please take care of this soon. The standing water each winter makes it more and more of a hazard as the cement freezes and thaws constantly there. Perhaps you could eliminate the standing water and prevent another deteriorated curb situation in the future. Your quick response would very much be appreciated. Thank you.
