There has not been an adequate explanation why the map results feature of uReports was disabled and not replaced. Several requests for information have gone unanswered:

Others have had dismissive or incomprehensible responses:

This was a very important feature that was often used. It was acting a little weird the last year or so, but it still worked. Why not keep it up until something is developed to replace it? It seems kind of shady that the City would remove such a feature, as if you don't want people having too much access to information. It allowed users to clearly see where the problem areas are. Is it still online for internal use?
Please do not assign this to the person ("C.I.") who has received the requests in the past. Better it be addressed by someone higher up.

The uReport search and map features no longer seem to be working. It will allow me to search, but the results are not accurate. Furthermore, you used to be able to look at a map to see where previous uReports had been made. This feature no longer works. Can you please let me know if these features were purposefully removed or simply are not working at the moment? If they are not working at the moment, when will they be fixed?

One suggestion I have:
When a resident reports an issue, and that issue then gets resolved, the resident should be notified that the issue has been resolved. It can be fairly difficult to go back through pages of reports to see what the solution was for the issue.

I filed an online report today (11/05/2025) about recent identify fraud. I soon after received an email with a link to confirm my report, but the page just has the header and blue spaceāso nowhere for me to click to confirm. Thanks!

Will you *please* re-enable the map feature on uReports? See case# #206286. It is understandable that it needs to be upgraded/"rewritten" - it has been a bit persnickety lately - but why not keep the one that's been used for a long time by a lot of people until you have a new one to replace it, rather than just disabling it while you figure out how to improve it? It makes *zero* sense to turn off a functional and useful feature that needs some updating while it still works fine, and not explain fully why that was done.
