117 S. Heritage Rd. This morning took me at least 10 m. standing by my driveway to guide my daughter back up to leave. While I was doing it, friends came by to complaint about this situation which drove them crazy. No one can argue with legal parking on the public street, is it legal to drive on the public street? If a legal driver’s vehicle hit a legal parking vehicle, who’s responsibility it is? Why under such a hazardous situation people still willing to take the risk to park their vehicles on the public street? Must be something worth to explore.

Pulling out of the habitat parking lot is very dangerous due to the poor visibility caused by cars parked far too close on either side of the parking lot entrance.

This 4 way stop kinda sucks. Please consider forcing it to be only one lane in each direction to make it less confusing and safer. I don't think it sees the traffic to justify being as wide as it is.

I use this route to take my children to school every single day of the week. I have noticed that if a vehicle is turning left from either direction off of E 10th Street they usually have to wait for oncoming traffic that is going straight through the light. This backup undoubtedly causes panic and frustration in drivers trying to make it to work or school in time because the line can be quite long. The solution for most drivers that I've noticed is to go straight through the light utilizing the Right Only turn lane. It doesn't take a genius to realize what can happen when someone unexpectedly blows through an intersection. The other issue is if the car turns left then you have 2 cars simultaneously going straight through an area that is meant to be one car. Today alone I watched 4 cars use the right lane one after another and almost cause a multi-car crash. This is especially dangerous because this area has a high volume of pedestrians feet away who are trying to make it to classes at IU. I have personally witnessed and almost been part of more accidents going in both directions at this intersection than anywhere in my entire life. I would like to offer some solutions rather than just complain. 1. Have a designated left turn lane instead of a right turn that people will inevitably blow through. 2. Add a left turn signal so one car don't hold up all of the traffic on that entire road causing people to get upset. 3. If you don't want to do either of those then at least install a sign that states the right turn lane is ONLY for right turns because people obviously don't understand what an arrow on the ground means. 4. Post a police officer here for about a week and I bet you'll see some changes. He is going to be busy though with all of the traffic violations witnessed.
I would generally not even give this a second thought, but I travel this road everyday with my children to and from school. It is actually mind blowing how many close call accidents I have witnessed at this exact spot. Please look into this matter for the safety and well-being of your community. Thank you for listening and have a great day!

Dr. Lewis got hit here last year and someone else almost got hit today. No one knows how to deal with this intersection because it backs up so much and people get emotional which is not a good way to drive. It would be great if a light or roundabout could be put in to protect the pedestrians from getting hit by cars. Sorry to make such recommendations because I know I am not a traffic expert, but this T has been an issue for far too long.

The curb at the southwest corner of this intersection juts out quite far into the lane. It is red and lower than the rest of the sidewalk. When there are cars waiting at the light, a sharp turn is necessary to avoid hitting them or this pointy curb, and it feels unsettling to swing out so far to the left where traffic is oncoming.
On the southwest side of this intersection, the curb juts out into the lane. It's red and lower than sidewalk level. Turning right onto Patterson requires a driver to swing out to the left, close to oncoming traffic, as otherwise it's very hard to stay clear of the cars waiting on Patterson and this curb. Could the curb be changed, or the stop line for Patterson be moved several feet back?

W. 1st seems to be open through Walnut as of 12/23/24. There are no speed limit signs anymore. It used to be 20 I believe.
People are zooming by excite that it’s open but it’s dangerous for animals and pedestrians. Also does no parking still apply?
Speed Signage and oversight needed asap.

When there is medium to heavy traffic, this 4-way stop sign between Jonathan Dr and Alexander Dr becomes dangerous. Drivers lose their patience and take off when it is not their turn, resulting in near accidents and testy confrontations. Additionally, the traffic begins to back up into the more busy streets (3rd St and the shopping plaza), causing further delays.
We need a roundabout at this 4-way stop to alleviate traffic and dangerous interactions. This would also provide better crossing infrastructure for pedestrians who use the sidewalk. Thank you!

It is unclear who has the right of way between southeast bound and northwest bound at the intersection of Fountain and 11th. Southeast bound cars either turn left or continue straight, but there is no yield for either option. A northwest bound car could collide with a southeast bound car turning left onto 11th and there is no signage preventing this.
