On March 2, 2016, I submitted a question about the lack of painted crosswalks for pedestrians crossing 3rd Street at Jordan Avenue. I received a prompt reply from Matt Smethurst, saying that the intersection would be torn up soon for stormwater improvements, and the crosswalks would be completed after that. There was indeed work completed over the summer, and the curbs now look very nice, but almost a year after my original question, there are still no crosswalks painted in the street. Are they going to appear sometime?

Have reported this before, never got an answer. I was told it was something to do with the city and guard rail study. The trail at this location is below the grade of the road on Moores Pike. I requested evaluation for a guard rail to protect walkers from a car leaving the road and rolling over the hill. This is a high speed road and it is very unnerving to walk along this trail. Send someone out and stand there to see what I mean.

I apologize..I'm not sure I picked the right category. I would like to request a crosswalk at 11th and Walnut..across walnut. The bus stops there and let's large groups of students off that then cross, going west. After dark, I'm worried someone will get hit especially. Thanks in advance. Susan Hingle

Path on west side of South Sare Rd between E Moores Pike and E Catchcart st is partially blocked by vegetation. Narrows path to about half width.

The sidewalk South of Gourley Pike along N. Kinser Pike has a staircase that prevents the use of this route in my power wheelchair.

The sidewalk closed signs have been removed from the new pathway on High Street, yet the new driveways that were poured are several inches higher than the pathway. This is a significant hazard for pedestrians, and bikers.

Hi, I was wondering if it might be possible to consider making a crosswalk at this location. It is located right at a bus stop, and for pedestrians walking along the bus stop side of the road (east side), it would be great to be able to cross the street safely here over to Renwick (specifically, for me, the Village Center shops). Walking path along the roadside at South East park is very dangerous for pedestrians. East Moores Pike, a high speed road is higher in elevation than the path. Would suggest a guard rail along the road to prevent vehicles from being able to run over someone on the path if they were to leave the roadway.

Miller Pipeline has started working our neighborhood, and I've seen several of their trucks driving along Queens Way and Montclair at speeds probably above the school zone limit. This is happening right around the time lots of kids and families are walking through the neighborhood down to Childs Elementary. Can the city talk with Miller Pipeline and remind them of the school zone speed limits, or perhaps station some officers in the neighborhood during the morning?

At the corner of East Third Street and Jordan Avenue, why are there no crosswalks painted in the street for pedestrians crossing Third Street? It seems very odd that there are pedestrian signals telling pedestrians when they may cross, but no pavement markings showing them WHERE to cross.
