Returned home late from the hospital and found water flowing across the sidewalk between our house & neighbors’, near the water shutoff & sewer cover.
I think the water main in front of 2700 S Banta is ruptured - there is water coming out of the cracks in the street and its not snow melt/runoff. A section of the main was replaced a few weeks ago about 50ft south of where this new leak is.
Water seeping from sidewalk/yard area into street along maple east of my house. I do not believe this is line to my house
Several water meters have been sitting on the sidewalk between 1034 and 1046 S. Colchester Ct. for the past two months since CBU’s contractor came through installing smart meters. Will someone come to get these?
There is some type of water leak between the sidewalk and the road at the corner of S Tudor Lane and E Allendale Drive. The ground is soft and there is water that has flowed into the street.
Reported to Mike Carter via email 1/11/18. Reporting to uReport as well. FYI. With the new snow, it’s a lot easier to see where the leak is at. I hope you had a nice long weekend… Best, Rick On Jan 11, 2018, at 2:27 PM, Rick Birch Dietz wrote: Mike, here’s the scoop on the leak we discussed. Thanks! I live at 1500 E Maxwell Ln. I’m at the SE corner of Maxwell and Sheridan. There appears to be water pooling on east side of Sheridan near the western entrance to my driveway. I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. Water leakage running down sidewalk into sewer on the Allendale sidewalk into the corner drainage grate on Tudor.
Hello, we live in Sherwood Oaks and there is not a safe way to get to the biking trail starting on Rhorer at Walnut Street Pike. People are often walking or biking up the last two blocks of Walnut Street Pike to reach that connection. It's not safe. We'd be so grateful if the sidewalk could be completed on the East Side of Walnut Street Pike between Rhorer and Heather Drive. This would allow people to access Kroger and the Rail Trail more safely. Other wishlist items are paving the rail-trail that connects the B-Line and Clear Creek Trail, and extending sidewalks along Rhorer all the way from Walnut Street Pike to Sare (or at least to Benson). It would also be nice if the sidewalk along the East Side of Walnut Street Pike extended all the way from Rhorer to Winslow, but finishing a sidewalk on the E or W side of Walnut Street Pike between E. Heather and Rhorer is really essential to pedestrian and biker safety. We love all of the investments we're seeing Bloomington making in parks, recreation and infrastructure. We really value this as a family with young children. We're just surprised how patchy the sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood are, with some suddenly stopping (Walnut Street Pike + Rhorer) and others reworked only to a certain point (example biking from Winslow Plaza east to Highland or Allendale is challenging). This makes it difficult to access all of the new paved biking/walking trails that connect to the Rail Trail and B-Line. We hope that COVID-19 does not make continued investments in sidewalks and walking paths impossible. Sincerely, Andrea Nikolova and Dimitar Nikolov 1044 E Jennifer Dr
Trash put out Wednesday for Thursday pick up still not picked up as of Saturday evening. Leaving it in the street until you pick it ip. It will be over flowed next week. I'm not bring 10 day old garbage into my house until next Thursday. It is not on the curb because the city plows the snow from the cul de sac into my yard which is ok because there is no other place to put it. So I don't have a curb at this time. I'd appreciated a notification if you weren't going to pick up the trash so I could have found a dumpster somewhere. Other neighbors still have their trash cans out. I presume the other gave up, or maybe theirs was picked up.
