WHEN YOU ARE GOING NORTH ON JEFFERSON STREET APPROACHING 8TH STREET, THERE IS A BLIND HILL THAT CAUSES A DANGEROUS LINE OF SIGHT PROBLEM. CAN THE TRAFFIC DIVISION PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AREA ABOUT ADDING SIGNAGE WARNING OF THIS PROBLEM. THE HILL ON HILLSDALE DRIVE, BETWEEN 202 & 208 S HILLSDALE, OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC FOR TRAFFIC EXITING HILLSDALE COURT. THIS PROBLEM IS COUPLED WITH SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC SPEEDING. THE PROBLEM HAS INCREASED AS HILLSDALE IS NOW USED AS A BYPASS FOR THE 46 BY-PASS
If pulling off of Clark St. on to 3rd, you can not see to pull out due to bushes.
Mr. Parrish states that a overgrown tree and bush blocks the driver's line of sight going west on East 8th.
reports that at 8th & clark (appears to be the above address..there are bushed that need trimmed back to allow traffic to be seen.
There are bushes on the northwest corner that obstructs the line of sight. 5th Street currently yields for traffic on Hillsdale Drive. If you are coming from the west, it is difficult to see traffic coming from the north due to the overgrown bushes. There was an accident at this intersection last night and the person hit stated that they could not see oncoming traffic.
This was given to the Engineering Department via Risk Management. There is a line of sight problem at the northeast corner of Clark Street & 8th Street. Clark Street stops for 8th. It is difficult for people travelling south on Clark to see oncoming traffic going west on 8th Street due to the shrubs on the northeast corner.
Mr. Geels received a letter for a line of sight problem for his property at 4th St. & Bryan Ave. (See Action #11659). He complained thta the city does not enforce the 25' sight triangle consistently and sited the Southeast corner of 4th & Bryan.
