Hello. My name is David Gonzalez. I live at 1318 S. Washington St. Tonight (Sunday), when my wife and I went to dinner I noticed a hole in the middle of the street directly in front of our house. The hole is about 6" wide and it looks like the hole is about 4" deep. I've tried to include 2 pictures of the hole which I took after dark tonight. Thank you.

Trails

1601 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47403, USA

Case Date:

Pictured above: the view from a bicycle seat as cyclist (on a bike path/sidewalk) approaches the circular loop at the southern end of the Grimes/Patterson parking lot. (Note: the problem I want to highlight is similar when cyclist is heading south towards that "roundabout" from the north on the bike/ped path). And the problem is this: a cyclist can easily not notice until too late that there is no curb cut to allow easy entry to the loop. YES, for safety reasons, the city probably decided NOT to be a curb cut there. Fine. BUT PLEASE, consider a very visible barrier so cyclists can see in advance that they should not proceed forward OR, at least, put some bright yellow paint or striped yellow-black paint on the curb as an attention grabber. Needed on both the south side of the loop and the north side. THANKS!

Debris Removal

Case Date:
6/20/2022

Not sure if I have the right department here. Please pass along to the appropriate department if not. Sanitation? Hazards? I am writing in reference to the Allen Covenanter Greenway that connects pedestrians and cyclists to the B-line trail. In particular, the problem I will mention is in front of the City of Bloomington Traffic Division building at 121 W. Allen. The issue is this: there is often broken glass close to the red-and-white striped sawhorses at the bridge. Sometimes the glass is worse than other times, so perhaps this area DOES get swept up by the city on some regular basis. I am suggesting that it be cleaned up at more frequent intervals. It's a great way for folks to access the trail. I use it often, though lately I've been opting for 1st Street because of glass. (And 1st Street doesn't feel as safe because of the amount of traffic.) Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Wildlife Conflict

retention pond between summit point apartments and Bayberry neighborhood.

Case Date:
6/20/2022

I was walking my dog on the path around the retention pond (off of Azalea Lane, toward the Summit Point Apartments). I noticed a deer following along beside us, watching us. When my dog noticed the deer and went toward her, the deer became aggressive and hooved (for lack of better term) my dog. We began running away from the deer, she followed but stayed in the forest. The deer continued following in the forest until we got to the street in Bayberry.
