I have some concern with Macy's leaving the mall and being such a large store. With being next to another huge empty box store (Kmart) and also Campus Costume was in a larger building that closed. Do you know if the mall has plans to put a new tenant in? Bloomington East Side is for whatever reason sometimes said to be economically well, but that's not a guarantee to stay healthy. If the City can monitor these vacancies for both safety and economic reasons, that'd be much appreciated! Thank you!

I recently noticed a sign up on the fence of the tennis courts at Sherwood Oaks park, stating they are to be used for tennis only. No exceptions. No soccer, no dogs, no skateboards. Dogs, I understand. If they eliminate on the court- what a mess. Skateboards I understand- they could damage the court surface. But I do not think there is any justification telling my sons they can’t play soccer *tennis* at those courts. My 18 year old has loved playing soccer tennis with his brother or a friend, a couple times a year, since he was about 10 years old. The soccer ball won’t damage the court surface. They are taught by their travel coaches to play soccer tennis as a fun way to improve their ball skills. There is no reason why my family does not have the right to use that court for tennis, just as much a anyone else, provided we are respectful and do not take up too much time (using it for an hour a few times a year I think is very reasonable.). We just happen to use a soccer ball instead of a tennis ball. People with dogs can go to one of the city’s dog parks. People with skateboards can go to one of the city’s skate parks. Where exactly are my son supposed to go to play soccer tennis now? This is a ridiculous exclusion, and can’t be justified.

Parking Meters and Citations

Case Date:

Hello I used a downtown metered parking space on January 9th and have since been charged two additional times to that card. One of those times I was out of state at the time of charge and the other time is today which I haven’t used metered parking. This is very frustrating and seems like an error in your system. Can you please refund me and remove my card from your system? Thank you
