Pharmacist reports approximately 100 bags of trash behind the CVS/Save A-Lot store. Residents living in trailer at Lot #42 have been using the store's dumpster and stacking their trash behind the store. Pharmacist said that there are rats running everywhere, and now there are 4 dead rats due to the Decon they put out. I informed caller that the City could address the trash problem, but that the
Monroe County Health Dept. could address the rat problem through their Vector Control ordinance.

Hello, I am currently trying to sell my house at 1221 W. 6th Street. Potential buyer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive however several people have decided not to buy my house because of the condition of the neighboring property to the east. That particular house is abandoned and derelict. Are you able to take any action that would remedy this plight or if this is simply a civil matter please let me know what steps I should take to address the problem myself.
Thank you,

Hello, Yesterday I wrote in to tell you that I am having difficulty selling my house at 1221 W. 6th street because the neighboring house to the east is abandoned and derelict. The near west side is a nice burgeoning neighborhood that is suffering due to the negligent care of this property. I did not mention that it is also filled with pests (namely rats) but also the backyard is overgrown with bamboo. It is a haven for Racoons and other critters. Since I did not hear back from you yesterday I wanted to confirm that this message has been received.
Thank You,
Jacob Kuebler

2611 Round Hill Lane, Bloomington. I understand the City cannot do anything about the overgrown lawn at this address because of the litigation the home owner has filed. But could you at least remove the dead trees and/or limbs that are blocking the sidewalk and could potentially fall on my car? I would think city code 12.24.040 would cover this problem. Additionally, the property owner cut tree limbs from his roof line, left them to drop in a pile so that if the dry conditions return we have a neighborhood fire hazard. I am so far beyond frustrated with this sitution. The property owner is getting a free ride in the litigation with the city, while our neighborhood would have to raise thousands to hire a lawyer and take this unreasonable man to court.
I like being able to submit my complaint, but wish I could review my comments, but this web page won't let me scroll back.
