Would it be possible to extend the time the Switchyard Park Splash Pad is open on Food Truck Fridays during the summer? The splash pad closed at 8pm on Friday but it was still very bright out and very hot. Extending the splash pad operating time an extra half hour to an hour might encourage individuals to stay at the parks a little longer together building a stronger community and more business for the food trucks. Accessibility issue. One of the sections of covered tables at Switchyard Park is blocked off. The other side is open, but there are no wheelchair accessible table on that side. I can’t sit at any of the available tables. The other seating area needs to stay open during Food Truck Friday, or you need to move some accessible tables to the other side. ATTN Michael Shermis

On Sunday September 14, at around 8 pm, a guy who calls himself "Turbo" came in to the dog park with five out-of-control dogs. These dogs have repeatedly ganged up on my dog and on other dogs. Several people have repeatedly had conversations with him about controlling his dogs and respecting the two-dog-per-person rule at the park. Tonight, when we asked him to call off his dogs, he angrily yelled at my wife and other people at the park. I saw him yell at a guy named Jim and flip over one of the tables in front of him. We tried to leave, and he followed us and yelled at us. We brought our dog home and came back to see how Jim was doing, and in that time, he had returned to the park and was continuing to yell at Jim. Jim tried to file a U-Report, but he wasn't sure if it processed. If security patrols at the Switchyard see a middle-aged white male with gray dreadlocks and five dogs heading toward the dog park, they should know that this guy is trouble. I am concerned that he might escalate a situation, and I don't want to see anyone get hurt.

This is the third time now that I have walked the B-line over the Patterson foot bridge to switch yard and all of the lights along the b-line between the two are out. This has always between the hours of sunset and 10 PM. I just worry it is hazardous because if someone was riding a bike, they could easily come up on someone they don’t see and hit them if either party doesn’t have a light. Of course, ideally people would have lights, but I’ve found they rarely do when walking the B-line especially in the early evening hours. I’m sorry I didn’t get numbers for the lights because there was about 30 in total. I was counting them but forgot about the numbers- the last one I saw that was out was BL 38 in switchyard, but literally every light from that to Patterson was out on both the north and south paths of the b-line. I hope it doesn’t seem like I am being a stickler reporting this multiple times. It’s just so dark in that stretch with no lights and the tree coverage, it feels rather dangerous in terms of potential accidental collisions. Thank you for looking into this matter! At least 2 of the garage doors at Switchyard Pavilion are not opening. This makes vendor unload/pack up before and after farmers’ market more challenging and complicated— for an already logistically difficult situation. Also, numerous customers report that there is not any parking available during market hours. Is anyone at COB considering parking issues when scheduling multiple events at Switchyard Park?? Is it possible that the Warehouse is using the Switchyard parking lot during market hours as well?? Thanks for reviewing these concerns.

The lights at Switchyard do not come on when they are supposed to. Specifically at the skatepark and path around it. They seemed to fix it when an event took place Nov 8, then just turned them off since. People not only at the skatepark but also people who walk the path, can’t see where they are going at night. It can be very dangerous especially considering that the homeless sit around all day and night over there. If someone could please fix this issue, then everyone who often goes to the park would appreciate it very much. Thanks

This is the second time in the past few weeks that I have walked the b-line over to switchyard and all of the lights are off when it’s after dark. Surely you are aware of this issue, but thought I would report it just in case… It’s a little bit dangerous in the section between Patterson and switchyard Because it’s so dark with all the trees. It would be easy to run into someone on the B-line.
