Other: At least 2 of the garage doors at Switchyard Pavilion are not opening. This makes vendor unload/pack up before and after farmers’ market more challenging and complicated— for an already logistically difficult situation. Also, numerous customers report that there is not any parking available during market hours. Is anyone at COB considering parking issues when scheduling multiple events at Switchyard Park?? Is it possible that the Warehouse is using the Switchyard parking lot during market hours as well?? Thanks for reviewing these concerns.

I have emailed Rachel. One door is not working and we are in communication with the vendor to get it fixed. No other events have been scheduled at the same time as the market. Parking is an issue, but market goers do not choose to park in the other two lots available.

There is one garage door that is currently not working. The vendor cannot get it fixed until January. We haven not scheduled any events at the park at the same time as the market and to our knowledge the wharehouse has not had any events either. Sent email to Rachel.

Hello Rachel- Thank you for completing the uReport concerning the Switchyard Park Pavilion. I have confirmed with staff that one garage door is currently not working due to a faulty keypad. We have been in communication with the vendor, but they are not able to fix the problem until the first of the year. We understand the inconvenience this causes to vendors and are working on getting it fixed. I am not aware of a 2nd door that was not working. Parking can be a concern at the park as it does have limited space. We have not had another event scheduled alongside the market this year. The park is open and on nice days I am sure their are park users using the lot. To our knowledge the wharehouse has not had any Saturday events, so they would not be using the lot. I will talk to market staff to encourage visitors to park at the Grimes Lane or Walnut Street lots, but other than that there is not much we can do. We have had much larger events at the park and people are able to make it work. Thank you again for reaching out.
